Welcome to the Law Office of Tracy L. Edingfield, P.A.

Ms. Edingfield's field of practice is focused primarily on family law, divorce, child custody and child support issues.

Our staff is ready to assist you in these difficult times and understand what you're facing.

Divorce can be a devastating time in anyone's life and the emotional and financial aspects can be overwhelming. Allow us to help reduce the upheaval in your life and assist you in plotting a course for the future that will be secure and happier.

Tracy Edingfield's primary concern will always be to look out for the children and to make sure we're doing the right thing for them. Children are defensless and too often get manipulated or used as "human shields" in custody battles and embroiled divorces. The long lasting effects of high conflict divorces can be devasting to small children and may impede their ability to trust and love others later in their lives. But-IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.

There are several techniques that can help effectively determine what's the best course of action for the children and Ms. Edingfield will advise you as to the availability, effectiveness, likelihood of success and cost for each technique. Whether counseling, mediation, dispute resolution counseling, discovery processes, depositions, subpoenaing business records, psychological evaluations, child custody investigations, Social Rehabilitation & Services Department Findings are to be utilized are joint decisions you can make with Ms. Edingfield after you have been fully advised of the adantages and disadvantages for each technique.

Tracy Edingfield graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1991 and began practicing criminal defense in Joplin, Missouri as an Assistant Public Defender. Ms. Edingfield maintained a 78% acquittal rating in her career as a public defender and was nicknamed "The Acquittal Queen."

In 1993, Tracy became an associate for the law firm of Dresie, Jorgensen & Wood and began to handle the firm's domestic relations cases. In 1996, Ms. Edingfield opened her own practice and has enjoyed helping people deal with family related cases since then.

Ms. Edingfield graduated from the University of Kansas in 1988, majoring in Psychology.

Tracy loves to help people solve their problems and she is very skillful at devising creative solutions that suit everybody's needs. However, if conflict cannot be avoided, Tracy is a very well prepared and formidable litigator. She does not hesitate to try a case on its merits. Tracy brings a lot of passion into the courtroom and has earned a highly respected reputation.

Ms. Edingfield belongs to the American Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Wichita Bar Association, the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity, and the Wichita Family Law Committee.
